About Me
I feel blessed and privileged that I was able to interview my father about his service in WWII and write his story. It is truly one of the highlights of my life. Dad passed in August, 2015. I miss him, especially most of all on Veteran's Day when I think back to his story. Of all my father's many accomplishments in life he was most proud of his military service.
I've always wanted to re-trace Dad's journey through Italy during WWII. I've been to Italy three times and I've seen Rome, Florence, Milan, Bolzano, and the gorgeous lakes in northern Italy. I still haven't made it to Volterra, a beautiful Etruscan town, and Naples.
My husband and I are retired, living in northern Kentucky on the Ohio River across from Cincinnati. I like walking across the Purple People Bridge, bike riding, and watching the barges go up and down the river. We don't have pets but I enjoy all the other pets that live in our building. Maybe someday we'll get a small dog... Maybe someday I'll make it back to Italy.
